Summer is around the corner. We have survived the winter and it’s finally time to enjoy some warm weather. The majority of people are planning to travel to some exotic locations so they can relax on a beach, get a perfect suntan, and charge their batteries for the rest of the year.
Each year we make a list of summer vacation must haves and this year is no different. Now, some items are going to be the same, I mean, you can’t go on a summer vacation without your swimwear, but we have plenty of new ones. So, let’s not waste any more time and get down to business.
First of all, let’s talk about what clothes you need to pack for a tropical destination. Let’s start with the obvious ones – swim trunks, flip-flops or any other type of sandals, and fedora, everybody needs a fedora. If you are planning to hit the beach when you arrive, then don’t even think about going without these three items.
That’s what you need for the beach, but if you decide to go for a night out, then you will need to pack some more appropriate pieces of clothing. Shirts, jeans, and a pair of shoes are your safest options. They go well with both formal and less formal events. Additionally, pack a pair of socks. We know that for the most part, you will be wearing sandals, but for that one night out when you put your shoes on, you will need some socks.
Toiletries and grooming
Traveling without your toiletries and grooming essentials is nuts. You don’t have to bring every little thing from your personal collection, but things like a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and deodorant are a must-haves. Also, pack a razor and a shaving foam if you like to be clean-shaven, and don’t forget to bring beard oil and a trimmer if you rock a mane. Trust us, the sun can do a lot of damage to your beard if you are not taking proper care of it.
Once you figure out what clothes and toiletries to need, you can proceed with packing your beach accessories. Technically, swimwear is all you need, but if you want to enjoy your beach time as much as possible, then you should pack a couple of more things.
For starters, you can’t lay on a scorching sand. To be able to relax comfortably on sunbeds, pack a mini blanket or a large towel, both will do. Besides that, don’t forget a pair of sunglasses. What kind of summer would it be if you didn’t bring a pair of Ray-Bans or any other style you like? Lastly, you will need a beach bag for all your belongings and we have a particular one in mind. The Droplet wet bag is waterproof, has a great design, and won’t cost you a fortune, thus making it an ideal solution for a beach bag.
Now, let’s get a bit serious. Traveling to an exotic location is not only fun and games. There are real potential health risks at these types of destinations, so it will be smart to pack a first aid kit. You can include anything from medicines for stomach aches and high temperature to sunblock and a helpful natural mosquito repellent. In most cases, you won’t have to use them, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Just imagine your vacation being ruined because you didn’t bring a pain-killer or even a mosquito repellent. Mosquitos really are annoying and can ruin a night.
And that is all from us. We didn’t talk about gadgets because we figured you’d know what you will be packing with you and it won’t be fair from us to suggest some high-end camera that you can’t afford. As it stands, we think that our list has all the necessary items that you might need, but you are free to add more items if something is missing on our list.
